Fake brakes?
Obviously designed more for impression than performance. They are on the verge of comical
Look at the size of the pads compared to the caliper. Only 4 pots as well.

So you're suggesting the pad should be the same length as the caliper? I don't think I've ever seen a pad that big before

It is not fake brakes.
It is just cheap Brembo's to make customer happy while getting robbed nicely.

The 6 pots from the m5 would have been nice but then again they will weigh more and we don't need more weight, they work which is the main thing.

Caliper stability, piston size, and how it's designed together with the rotor and master cylinder determine how your brakes will perform.
Remember the 1 series was available with 6 piston calipers but they weren't any better than standard 335 brakes with good pads due to their small pistons. Don't think the pad size determines everything. The small pad to large rotor surface dissipates heat which for a heavy vehicle will be one of your top concerns.
