Greetings,
Problem - I am trying to figure out how to get an All Season or Winter tire set up on the X7 with 22" wheels. Don't want to do a second set of wheels, as I like the stock wheel. In all my tire searching, I did not find any All Season or Winter tires for the stock tire size of 275/40/22 and 315/35/22 (the rear is what causes the issue.) Question - Could one put a 275/35/22 and 315/30/22 tire combo on the X7, like the factory set up on the X5 22"? If so, what are the risks, problems or concerns everyone would have with doing so? Pictures below are from the X5 and X7 ordering guides. -Buffalo |

Thought about the same thing as I desperately want all season non-run flats for my X7. Two problems:
Lower aspect ratio from X5 tires means a smaller sidewall which will create a rougher ride. 104 and 107 load ratings from X5 tires mean these tires may not be able to support the additional curb weight of the X7 in certain conditions since the X7 tires have 107 and 111 load ratings. If you must buy all seasons now, I suggest searching tire rack for the 22" Range Rover tire options which will work for the X7 front wheels and sticking with the Conti grand touring summers for the rear wheels. |

I'm thinking of picking up an X7 and wanted to install a more aggressive rim/tire like the BMW M Performance 748M Wheelset. Does anyone know if the these Wheels and General Grabber AT3 would work with the X7? akap007 the load rating is 110V and also rated XL, which I'm assuming might work.

Your speedometer will be off by 3-4mph and your GPS will have slightly less accurate information but other than that one could do this set up. The X7 has a slightly larger tire for passenger comfort where the X5 is more for handling improvement. I do not believe you will damage anything but in the long run you may just find the best option being a dedicated set of winter wheels and tires in 21". YMMV.

For winter wheels, I bought two additional front wheels and installed them on the rear axle. The result is a set of 22 equal-sized winter wheels.
