Black Badges
Does anyone have a resource other than IND for good quality black badges? I've looked everywhere and the only thing I've found are this set on ebay for $25. I ordered them and they are good quality, however they are about 25% too small.

Just check other re sellers like Ebay or Amazon and ask for the seller to confirm the size. Someone will have them. I paid $50 for mine I think. So maybe the higher priced ones a little bit more accurate to OEM?

Personally I would buy from IND, Ryan@IND or Cat@IND could help you out, they use OEM emblems.

I'd love to buy from IND, but theirs are $183!

LOL you're nuts. And I mean that in a nice way. Quality products do not mean price gauging. Of course it is going to be subjective as to what is too expensive. But their prices are just jokes.

Exactly.....
No I dont. I bought mine even before I took delivery of my car. My Ebay history only goes back 90 days. Like I said make sure you ask for the dimensions of the emblems prior to purchase and you should be fine, dont just go off of a picture.

+100. IND does fantastic work and everything from them is top notch quality. Customer service is on point and their packing of items for shipping is great as well. 👍🏻

The cerium OEM badges are $37 unpainted. That means ING charges ~$150 to paint about 8 inches. That's insane.

I bought these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GLOSS-BLA...item2633c26492
The two small badges replaced the silver fender badges and the larger badge went on the grill. This went on the rear https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M-Spo...sAAOSwAqhdrswm |

do you know if the M 40i badge would be the same size on the 140i and x3 m40i. im hoping i can use the following badge without the "1". looks like a similar part to your M235i item https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GLOSS-BLA...k/264630782683 |

I agree with Cipher that you should go for the IND ones. I know they're a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for, their badges are great quality. Reach out to Ryan@IND and see what he can do for you. He's very helpful.

Yeah. It's like some people are getting paid to push IND or something.

Not getting paid to recommend them, however, in today's age where customer service is often times an afterthought or completely nonexistent, I am happy chime in and say that while IND is on the high end of pricing it's one of those instances where you get what you pay for. You get top notch high quality products and top notch customer service to go along with it. Ryan@IND was amazing in answering any of my questions regarding the products I ordered, provided install assistance, and would quickly reply if during their business hours.

I don't think people have an agenda. I think the problem is that there aren't that many vendors providing these types of parts. There's OEM stuff that you can grab at getbmwparts.com, there's IND, there's alieexpress.com and then there's a bunch of people on ebay.
Remember always to check out our Vendor Classifieds when exploring these types of options. These vendors support our board and provide lots of cool stuff for us to play with as well. Last edited by dmicah; 02-17-2020 at 04:25 PM.. |

$54.91 BMW MSRP M40i / Cerium Grey 51 14 8 089 576 $39.88 BMW MSRP You're correct in stating that it doesn't cost $150 for just paint on one emblem. Here's what that cost covers, all of which we think is fair and reasonable. - Pre-paint prep work - Paint - Waste - a percentage of emblems won't pass quality control and are discarded - Full time staff member that buffs and polishes every single painted item before packing / shipping - Small amount of profit

The OP purchased from eBay and experienced issues with the parts. I don't have an alternative that I would trust recommending beyond IND for what he needs, otherwise I would have posted it. |
