Mercedes new F1 car has adaptive toe in/out
Spotted on Hamilton's car is a steering system, probably hydraulically operated, that moves the front wheels outwards in bends then toe's in on the straights moving the steering wheel closer to driver.

Regarding no noticeable movement at the control arm, I think that's normal. The change in toe is probably only a few degrees at most, so I think it would only be really noticeable in person next to the car (or maybe a zoomed-in slow-mo shot during a broadcast). |

Developed in full view of the FIA. Rumored to be complex enough take more than 3 or 4 race weekends to duplicate and perhaps up to 6 months. Mercedes is turning testing on its ear once again.

If a clear advantage exists by minimizing tire deg, tire temperature and aero drag, and if the FIA continues to allow this technology, it will be very interesting to see how quickly the remaining nine teams respond and adopt/adapt this new technology.
