N54 Tial BOV vacuum line

2008 335xi
Installing ARM charge pipe and TiAL BOV

The BOV comes with a pretty large vacuum hose.
I thought it would connect to the factory spot by the throttle body where the factory vacuum line was for the 2 diverter valves was, but that is too small.

Where is the best place to connect the BOV vacuum line?

Second question: where the metal fitting is in the top of the BOV for the vacuum line, it's extremely loose, how tight do I have to tighten that to make it seal?

I used a vacuum fitting adapter to go from the smaller 3.5mm vacuum line to the larger line. Seems to work just fine for me.

And just tighten the fitting down as tight as feels comfortable. There is probably some sort of torque spec somewhere, but keep in mind there should be a crush washer to seal properly.

Many have had issues with the BOV opening properly after trying to use the factory vacuum nipple on the manifold. I plugged that one and installed a 1/4" nipple next to it that I picked up at the local hardware store.

wouldn't you have to pull the manifold to plumb a new one, cuz dont think you'd want bits of aluminum getting inside.
Right?

Yeah, that'd be the safest way. I already had my manifold off for walnut blasting when I did mine. It's plastic, not aluminum.

Heard that the wait for the Vader Solution's one can be a while. Both convert to 1/4 line which is what Tial recommends

Exactly what I ordered, so hopefully in a few weeks it'll arrive over here and I can put it on, along with their upgraded PCV too
