HFC Downpipe - longevity?

Hey everybody,
Went with a Turner Catted DP on my 335 and loving the improvement it's made.
Perhaps a question for them, but I want to throw it out here as well.

I'd imagine a quality cat is used in their DPs, what's the consensus on longevity of these aftermarket HFC DPs in general?

Appreciate your insights in advance!

as long as you don't have burble settings too aggressive you should be fine. other than that, some DP's will claim no CEL, but will still pop up but maybe a little later.

yea, copy that - stock tune right now with a likely move to Stg 1...keeping things mild.
Have the CEL, was expecting it.

Appreciate your feedback!

Yup, aggressive burbles would be the main concern. As long as your car is running properly (i.e., not crazy rich or lean other has other issues), any quality aftermarket cat should last the life of the car, as is the intention with the OEM cat.

if you blast it with snap, crackles, and pops, you may get a catless after all.

Fabspeed is about the only catted downpipe I know that will not give you a CEL. They use an HJS cat from Germany.

Noted everybody thank you for the responses. I'm not concerned about the CEL, I've already installed my catted DP...but then got to thinking longevity (totally backwards!). Sounds as-if you're in decent shape using a high quality piece and being somewhat conservative on your tune (general consensus)

Thanks all

as long as you dont have aggressive burble and you got a trusted brand, there is nothing to worry about

Ha! Yeah, if by life of the car, they mean 130k miles on the stock powertrain.
