Help 2009 335i starts sputtering and shaking on start up
I recently removed my c@ts and added a chargepipe as well as a catback and flashed on the mhd stage 2 tune. I noticed right after that when the car is started up warm or if it sits after it warms up from a cold start its starts to sputter a shake violently then it settles down and revs a little higher about 100-200 rpm higher then idles and drives perfectly fine.
This all happened all of a sudden and was wondering whether it was my tune or if it was the downpipes that are causing all this. |

Well it's misfiring. Figure out where. If you haven't do plugs and coils. See if there's any gas or oil on the plugs. Look up the maintenance on these cars or your gonna keep having problems

The mileage on the car is about 70k and it got coils and plugs a couple thousand miles back, I've heard it could be the hpfp but I dont get any other problems on the road or when pushing it hard. I'll get the plugs checked out soon though.

Rotate coils and plgs around until you can pin down a cyl.. Thats the way it works.

Could be coils, could be plugs, could be leaking injector(s)
Do a little troubleshooting.......better get used to it on these cars
