TTFS XDI-35 Chirping!

First of all i would like to apologize because i made the original post in the wrong location. However, I have a 2015 335i x drive on a stage 2 custom tune and have been getting this rattle ever since I installed the XDI-35.

here is another video but this is unrelated to the HPFP just stupid loud

If anyone has got any clues let me know! i have searched a lot on these forums and haven't found noises similar too these

First video - did you actually listen underhood and confirm its from the pump, or it just happened at the same time as the pump install? If you had a shop install, i would have taken it back immediately...

Second video - see my thread here. Sounds similar, but mine was under accel not decel. Could be the same issue though; easy to check. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1708574

I don't know how or why I let this happen but I did bring it back right after it got installed and they said they couldn't hear it which frustrated me and it seemed like the didn't even want to work on it.

And thanks for the video! That definitely gives me some sort of idea of a location it could be these noises are insanely difficult to locate

So this happens on my ots PS2 map but once I went custom tune through Pureboost, it just went away.

Recently reflashed the ots map because I didn't have time to go mix my E30 blend for my custom tune.

Noticed the chirp sound came back on ots map but not on my custom tune.

Very odd.

I should have mentioned that I also have a custom tune and they gave me a different map that should have correct the fuel pump noise but no still didn't succeed...

I run E30, sometimes E40. Rarely 91 octane only. It chirps with any fuel and any tune, OTS or custom, from what I recall.

Not on mine. It only happens on OTS maps for me and went completely away on every custom revision I've had.

Once you get a custom tune it will disappear. Its the rail pressure from what I understand. My tuner got rid of it first revision. I'd just ask your tuner to get rid of the HPFP chirp. They should be familiar.

Its not even that annoying. Not enough to pass up on its benefits at least... For me.

Also, crazy that this happened to you. Happened to me sometime after i had my exhaust put in. Thought my shop was careless but i guess those E-brake clips are just that cheap. No surprise!

Ended up zip tying mine until the zip tie broke. Bmw ended up fixing it under warranty as well. 😅

Update!

I have spent 4 hours looking forward into all the issues suggested so I ended up bringing it in and now has been there for 3 days... so far the harmonic balancer has a wobble could be the issue and they said after it was replaced there is still a wobble. I cannot remember exactly what they said but apparently the crankshaft is slightly moved out about a .10th of a millimeter and now I am scared shitless

My pump would chirp initially with my OTS tune right after I isntalled. It was resolved in the BM3 OTS tunes later, and also immediately addressed when I changed to a custom tune from Cary Jordan.
