Cracked snorkel on E90 335i (N55), looking for advice
I installed a VRSF charge pipe today on my E90 N55 335i... it was a huge pain to fit in there but I managed to get it installed. When I was reinstalling the airbox I bent the part that connects the snorkel to the airbox a bit too much and it caused a crack. At this point I'm just going to get a shop to fix it, but I'm wondering if I should be concerned about driving it with the crack there? Would it be better or worse to try to tape up around it? If you look in the attached picture, the bottom of the piece is also not sealed well at all, so a lot of air will be leaking out of there.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! |

I honestly would not worry about that mate. It is just the dirty air snorkel. It might suck in a tiny bit more warm air. You could probably use some RTV to seal it up?
