Appreciate the share cheers Mike. Everyone seems to have stopped sharing deals in general. I always like a look.
All too boaty mc boat face for me. No 718 GTS 4.0s on that list

I'd like a 911 Carrera 4 Targa but at £99k before extras (no discount sir) they are way out of my league - even secondhand. Mind you when you spec a B3 Touring to £78k you know that its time to think about £35k and an extended warranty for what you already have! |

I don't get the appeal at all. Pig ugly IMHO and no faster to 60 than my Z4. Couple that with an interior that seems to have been designed by someone with nothing more than a ruler and a compass in their pencil case and I'm quite happy I didn't spend the extra £60k.

Porsche is the one badge missing from my history so its something I have toyed with but nothing quite ticks the right boxes.... a Boxster GTS 4.0 might when the M5 is due for swapping but I'm not really a fan of cars with two seats.....even token back seats mean you can cram someone in legally for a short trip.... But if its all about looks, why are you driving a Z4.... |

All convertibles look decent with roof down but few carry it off well with roof up in my opinion.... well, not recently. If you forced me to buy a 2 seater open top, it would be an MX5 for simple driving fun. But to be honest they are all too low for me these days! My car is also like me - a bit too wide, a bit too loud, and otherwise tries to hide in the background.... |

I ticked the Porsche box a few years back with a 987 Gen 2 Boxster S. In many ways it was brilliant (aside from crap ride quality around town on 19" wheels), but I never really fell in love with it, and don't miss it now it's gone. I can't really see myself getting another Porsche, unless of course I can find a nice 928 at a decent price |

Have you spoken with anyone about this? Lots of bad stuff happened in the 80s, but no one should suffer in silence with these burdens!

I have to say the 911 looks did more for me than the driving experience did, when I borrowed one for a few days. Felt more natural and at home in the Cayman I tried straight after. Though plenty people say the character of the 911 is something that reveals itself over time, so I do think I will have one at some point.
I had a Boxster for a few years and loved it, and do miss it at times. It's size is great for British B roads, and it has enough power to be interesting, and allow you to rev it out in a few gears, but doesn't need you to be going a silly speed to be really good fun. I'm keen to get off the PCP bandwagon, but I think a new Boxster or Cayman Spyder/GTS/GT4 would be one of the few cars I could imagine buying new or on PCP.

That may be down to my driving abilities, but it was so much easier to place and drive on the limit. |
