Stock turbos w meth
Finally got my meth kit from snow performance installed, tuner got me on a tune running about 20lbs, had trouble previously running higher boost due to the quality of gas in canada. Currently on 91 shell vpower, wondering if anybody can take a look at these logs for some insight on how the cars running with timing, etc.

good news, your stock turbos are really healthy. holding more than 17lbs above 6k rpm.
fuel pressure low side has a mild dip right before the meth comes on hard id assume, into the high 40s. but then it holds 60+ psi. that said, for 91 pump it seems kind of weak. may want to slap a new oem pump in it at minimum, or a bucketed 450 stage 2 to future proof. maybe a fresh regulator and filter as well. there is like no timing in it, the timing looks like something id see for 91 without meth, is this a very early revision? does it feel fast? what size meth nozzle? 100%? if it was my car id be doubling the nozzle, going straight meth if not already and asking my tuner to turn it up. you should be able to run ethanol timing numbers on a solid meth setup. hes already got about as much boost wound in as possible. and id order a fuel pump. also, is that what parameters your tuner wanted logged? there are better ways to get that data.

I would say you could run at least 5 more degrees of timing on 91 and meth. This would be a big jump in power.

You should log your Intake Air Temperatures (IAT) so that we can see when the Meth is starting to flow. Without some kind of indicator you are blind as to when meth is kicking in.
People are correct.....I run stock turbos at 18-19 psi with 100% meth and my timing rises from 8-9* up to 11-12* above 5K....no knock. I see what looks like two knock events at 3956 and 4561 rpm. You shoud log ignition correction to see if that is the case or not. If meth is actually flowing at that point you should not be seeing knock with your timing of 1* as shown in your log......I suspect that your meth is starting to flow rather late in the powerband as you can see your timing progressively recover above 4500 rpm. If meth is running that late in the powerband you should not be attempting 20 psi of boost at low rpms. Piston speeds are slower at lower rpm and there is more time to develop knock. My meth starts to flow at 9psi and takes about 200 rpms to engage once I start to go WOT |
