Driver profile change not working using comfort access
Hi all
I have a separate driver profile set up on each of my comfort access keys. They work fine, as in when I unlock using the remote button the settings all change to the relevant key. But when I unlock by touching the door handle with either key on me, it doesn't change any of the settings. It unlocks the car, but the settings don't change to match what's saved to the key profile. Is there a setting I need to do? Or is it a shortcoming of the system?

mine is ID6. 2018/19 model. Not sure if the software has been updated but I'll check on that.

My BMW genius person has confirmed that the car only differentiates between driver profiles when you press the button on the remote.
When you use comfort access (touching door handle) the car does not know/bother which key is being used. Hence it doesn't change the profile. Or at least doesn't change the saved settings to that profile (like AC, radio stations, seat, etc)
