New cooling system saver

Anyone see this? Just got this in my inbox from ECS:

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...it/004481la01/

I know the aluminum piece has been around from generic vendors for awhile (and ECS's version always cost 3x as much for anything billet). But I did think the silicone tubing was a nice addition -- esp since you'd always have to buy and deconstruct a full piping (with the mount preinstalled) previously.

Anyone happen to try it? Also saw Turner has some set-spec camber plates...will post that separately in Suspension section.

[EDIT: MODS PLEASE REMOVE IF NOT ALLOWED OR ALTER SO IT DOESN'T VIOLATE ANY RULES -- I HAVE NO ASSOCIATION TO ECS NOR IS THIS AN AFFILIATE LINK. JUST WANTED TO DISCUSS]

Seems like a waste of money. OE rubber section of the hose is good enough. Replace with the $20 hose bib and call it a day.

My 2 cents.

Yeah, the plastic flange is the failure point. Rubber coolant hoses tend not to be the issue on BMWs. You can grab an aluminum flange for way cheap.

I guess, if you need to replace the hose for whatever reason, that's an OK option. Otherwise, any of the aluminum flange offerings with the stock hose will do.
