Gary Oldman was the best Gordon. Bale was far superior to Affleck as Batman. We'll see with this one.

No one was going to be as good as Bale but Affleck was pretty bad. He played Bruce Wayne super blandly and failed to inspire any kind of emotion as Batman. And he gets shown up in the ensemble cast by Cavill, Gadot, Momoa and everyone else.

That being said, he is going to look like Christian Bale next to this clown. We're just going to get irritated the whole time he's onscreen.

I was REALLY disappointed with Pattinson being cast as Batman but damn this trailer looks great. The line " I'm vengeance " sounds like the Batman got his twig and berries back.

Apparently I am the only one who thinks Pattinson will be fantastic in this role. I don't think there's another guy in Hollywood that would have been anywhere near as good for the role.

I think the movie looks awesome and I can't wait. Robert Pattinson is a good actor. Ridiculous people bring up Twilight, it was over 10 years ago.

I honestly think Christian Bale could have had more of a run with it much like RDJ as Iron Man, especially since Batman does get older and the last movie had Robin kind of a caretaker. Christopher Nolan has a lot more story runs. Those three movies are my favorite ever Batman movies and I feel captured the essence of Batman as a whole.

I totally agree. Don't understand all these continuous reboots. I also felt Nolan's Batman trilogy to be the best. I also thought if anything a Robin movie would have been created to continue Nolan's story line.

Patterson can be forgiven for Twilight with some pretty good performances of late, he was pretty decent in The King.

To quote Bane, he fights "like a younger man, with nothing held back" - immature in his character arc and more focused on vengeance than justice at this stage?

Lol at all the hate on Pattenson. He’s a genuinely good actor. Christopher Nolan would never cast him as a main actor in Tenet if he was a shit actor. I think he’ll do well, but where DCEU movies have usually failed as of late is the storylines.

To touch on other comments, yes, new characters would be awesome; but hey, at least it isn't another damn Spiderman movie telling the same story again.

Don't be too harsh. Actors have little control over the script and direction. Sometimes the story is just not believable.

IMO both Affleck and Bale were great.

Remember Nolan didn't have superhumans in his universe. It was more realistic vs Snyder.

IMO once you add aliens, super humans, etc, to the big screen it's hard to keep Bats relevant.

It's why the "Saving Martha" scene was so awesome. It was BM vs normal bad guys.
