LG VX9800 (The V) and Bimmer bluetooth

Hi,
I have the 2006 325i with bluetooth. .
I got LG's VX9800 (verizon) and I am not able to setup the phone with the car. Has anybody tried this successfully? Any help on this is appreciated. I still have 15 days to return my phone if it is not comatible.

thanks
Dee

yeah i have the same phone and it works on my car. Make sure the BT is turned on in the car. Its not on by default. Then have the phone and the car search for each other at the same time. Chris

I have a brand new e90 328i, no problems pairing my LG vx9800, but the phone book will not transfer. Not sure there is any workaround for this (new firmware on the phone?). I'm probably hosed, but at least I can do most of the things I want to until I switch phones to something on the BMW approved list.

I have the vx9800 and it works fine with my car. As somebody else mentioned, turn the car's BT on, then turn the phones BT on, they should see eachother immediately. You'll have to set up a code (any 4 digits) and type that in both devices to get them to sink. Then you'll be good to go.

not only it has to be on, but it has to be in discovery mode. then have it search for devices until it finds your car, then enter password, then from your car you have to enter same password
