Green algae on window seals

Green algae on window seals. With the weather in Manchester it seems to be a fairly common occurrence.

Is there any way to prevent this?

I’m near Altrincham....it’s a real pain keeping the algae at bay. Tooth brush and detergent. Maybe there’s some stray on stuff..
