Newbie Wheel & Tire Question
Have my X3M sitting on 265/40 ZR 21 in the back and 255/40 ZR 21 in the front Contis that it came with.
I am in the NE and coming to terms that I can need to get an AS tire. Can I buy a used set of 20 inch rims with P Zeros 235/45 R20 on all 4. Can my local mechanic mount them? Thank you all very much |

2) Yes, just be sure you get TPMS sensors installed otherwise you'll have the tire light on constantly if you don't. |

whatever rims you get, make sure that the bolt pattern fits and the rims clear the larger M calipers in the front. You can go with 21 all-season or winter tires on the same factory rims, just swap tires.

Hey- Its me again
I am enjoying my X3M but need to change the tires.. Would this work? https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1777291 I have very basic automotive repair/maintenance experience but I have changed tires before from having flats.... Can I just take my 21'' of and put these on there? Is there anything I would have to do for the TPMS Alternatively I was considering 4 New Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season 265/45R21 104T A/S All Season Tires from ebay for $600. Would that work? 265s all around? I would go to a tire shop for this and expect to pay about $100? I am in the DMV area THank you! |

Your alternate approach with 265s all around might be feasible, but I'll let others chime in because 265/45 might be a bit much.
