The m2cs with proper winter tires made winter driving enjoyable not stressful.
The rear drive differential doing its magic was great.

There is so little space between the front of the caliper and the inside of the rim.

If 437s fit the M2C they should fit the M2CS as well. I'm also looking into a 641m 19 inch winter set.

The weight of the 641 is much higher than the 763 and the 437. I had the black 640's (18") on the M2 OG as a winter set.

The 437 fit absolutely fine. Same size as 763s.
And the are not heavy as opposed to 788s.

763:
front: 9.4 kg; rear: 9.9 kg

437:
front: 10 kg; rear: 10.7 kg

788:
front: 11.2 kg; rear: 11.9 kg



P.S. I have been running 245+265 michelin pilot alpin 4 for two winters already and they proved to be fantastic. I have 2NH brakes and had no issues with anything stuck between calipers and the rims. And I drove a lot across the entire Europe from Portugal to Ukraine and from North of Germany to the South of Greece.

Thanks for the reassuring reply. This morning I mounted the winter set on 437's and was surprised by the very slight clearence with the front calipers. But I'm reassured now, thank you very much.

265 on the rear is really wide to get proper snow traction... guess that despite driving through all Europe you do not go in hilly/ mountains area

I had these on the OG M2 withe the 640's.
But now I bought this set for an interesting price second hand with continental wintercontact on for the CS. Front 245-35/19 rear 265-35/19.

A friend of mine has 437s on his M2C with 2NH brakes and I never saw that he has any issues with that.

I drove many times through Alps during winter with my 245/265.

Trust me there is no need to worry. Those will work just fine.

I just installed a set of 641s with 235 Alpin 4s today as recommended by BMW.

Took it for a test drive and the front right had a shallow scrape all the way around the inside of the wheel. I pulled the wheel and could not see any where on the caliper where it could have been scraping. It wasn't any part of the red caliper as there was no red paint transfer.

I re-seated it this evening. Hoping I just didn't have it on the hub flush. We'll see after my drive to work in the morning.

All the other wheels were fine. And the wheel with the issue spun freely when installed.

Any thoughts?

Maybe it was a stone. The other front wheel was fine? Keep us informed please whether it happens again after your next drive.

^^This. I must have had a stone between a front caliper and one of my track wheels last spring. I didn't see the circumferential marring on the back of the wheel until I was cleaning them after the track day. I was able to find the small mark on the caliper where the stone had lodged. If you carefully inspect the bottom of the caliper, you may also find yours.

How is the handling with 235s on those 641ms? Are 255s available on 641s?
