JB4 +mhd BEF Car feels slower than it should be

2009 335xi 6 speed manual
Zero codes, fuel trims are spot on, boost is where it should be but the car just feels slow. Has c/l down pipes, dci, charge pipe, one step colder plugs, new valve cover and gasket, 3.5 map sensor, front drive shaft removed at the moment(but felt slower either way)

Ran both map 2 and currently running map 5... car feels like it should be faster than it is. fuel pressures seem fine in jb4 mobile app. what other parameters should i check to make sure everything is running good? Car feels like it runs out of steam at higher rpms.

How does it feel at the low to mid range? The N54 on stock turbos always runs out of steam you can feel it falling flat on it's face after 5500 rpm and up. It's best to shift at 6,000-6,200.

Logs?

Ran out of steam at what rpm?

Boost is meant to tapper at higher rpm because stock turbos run outta steam as S58 mentioned.

Make sure your jb4 is updated to latest firmware. You made sure you have 4/2 on using your steering wheel controls?

I'll do a log today. I've had two other 335is with the same exact mods, both were automatic but seem to pull harder then this car does. Im pretty sure I updated the jb4 when I bought it used about two months ago, but I'll check the firm ware just in case. I am running the 4/2 for the bef.

has a vibration while on the parkway took it out to isolate it. vibration went away so its either cv axles or drive shaft. I left the car and took my work truck home so I'll do a log on monday and report back thanks guys.

It would slower but safer with BEF vs JB4 alone.

The newer BE flashes have much lower timing then they used to. This is my guess why your car feels slow. I did custom timing tables in Tuner Pro based on older BE flashes with good results.

Do you mind posting pictures of the timing tables for the old bef?

What is your timing look like? DME could be pulling timing resulting in less power

If you want I will send you any of the older BMS flashes. Are you running the pump flash or race flash?

Took a log as I was getting onto the parkway today. Nothing crazy but maybe it will show something. Do I need to open with another app or just post a csv file right on here or what ever type of file it is.

Cylinder 6 is getting some timing drop and your AFR looks to be lean. When I flashed with my custom MHD tune the logs looked strange, but when I reset the adaptations after instructed by the tuner everything started to look normal. Go on your MHD app and reset the adaptations and see how the logs look after. I did read some where that the flywheel on a manual car can cause a false knock on cylinder 6 so you can always check off the desensitized knock option in the app and reflash the car and see if cylinder 6 runs clean like all other cylinders.
