New to M550 world

Just picked up my Alpine White 2021 M550, and it’s my 1st performance vehicle from BMW, after 2 X5’s, X1, and a 330. My last performance car was a C7 ZO6, but with a 2 year old that wasn’t an option anymore. Few things I’m interested in

Front tag, http://www.usmillworks.com/ Tag frame, will this set off my bumpers sensors the entire driving time ?

I Plan on doing some track time, go pro mounted on tow hook bracket or car/windshield mount ? With draggytime software ?

I believe ive heard some people remove exhaust resonators for louder sound ?

Just signed up for 1day M school in January, hope it’s worth it $$$

My front tag sets off no sensors, and does not interfere with the radar for adaptive cruise control. No problems with it at all. Hoever, I am drilled and installed. Can't speak for the one in question. There are threads on this forum about opening the valves on the exhaust, then pulling the fuse which closes them. I tried it, but it didn't seem to make much difference. I like the exhaust sounds as they are....YMMV. Some have indeed modified it. M track school and yearly track days are definitely worth the money.....and you get to use BMW's tires and brakes! Enjoy your M550.

Congrats!!! I was against removing the resonators but not I'm thinking about doing the same. Spending 3-5k on the exhaust idk if it's worth it to be honest.

I plan on doing resonator delete. I was able to check out a 2020 m550i with the delete done, and it sounded great. Drone was not bad.

Personally I find the aural upgrade a quality exhaust system provides really improves the driving experience. It isn't about the (arguable) HP gains, it's about the enjoyment I personally get from my car sounding great.

Not a 5er but my current car as a reference.

Can check out https://stonsho.com for the plate, They have a few options and IMO better than the off center look. From my emails with them a 2021 should be out soon. Also, regarding the resonator delete, Dinan resonator delete With the x-pipe seems to be good, while expensive, it’s quality and no drone! According to several people I have spoken with! mine arrives end of this month.

Do you know that mid pipe will fit stock muffler? I think it should since the opening is the same?

Yes, their midpipe fits their muffler as well as the stock one.
