Summer & black purse for your lady? *HELP*
Ok, I found this nice brand name black purse(won't go into details, my lady is always watching my threads) for her.
the bag is really nice, but is it a bad idea to buy a black bag for your girlfriend during the summer? I mean weather is getting hotter.. should I get her something more colorful? or is this nice looking bag good enough? its for her b-day. now that I think about it, I rarely see women with black purse or bag during summer.

buy her something fun;something that has life to it. I cant imagine black in the summer...colors is the way to go (or maybe like white with black stripes?)

oh black/dark brown and navy blue are classic colors which can suit many occassions. I think its not proven that black leather absorbs more heat than lighter colors, just feels warmer on the surface, is that right? I don't think your lady's black purse would get hot enough to melt that candy bar you stashed in there for your snacking pleasure ... if that's your concern
The reason why you don't see the darker colors as ladies like to color match their accessories to their outfits. During spring and summer they are less likely to wear darker colors and hence darker accessories like purses/hand bags... hope that helps! Btw leather or leatherette ??

bmwe90, yeah, I want to buy her something else too, but she really needs some sort of purse or bag for now. I know she needs it....
kl2dc, LOL. its leather I believe. HOPEFULLY. good advice for the color selection. ahhhhhhh. I really should get her something colorful then.. gotta pass this good deal. ARRRR. ok, how about this. Necklace or bag for her b-day? AHHH she needs the bag though. but name brand bags are so damn expensive. this is killing me. maybe I should run away on her b-day. hahaha

If you are splurging on a luxury handbag/purse, you should stick to the classic colors because 1) You want it to have a timeless elegance 2) Spring/Summer fashion is more fickle/trendy but formal/evening wear is more enduring and 3) darker colors are also less maintenance 4) The craftsmanship is often better appreciated in the darker colors....
Is this a BMW interior discussion or a ladies' handbag/purse discussion

thanks for the advice. I think I might just go with the black purse.. I know she'll appreciate no matter what I give her, but I just want to give her the best. Im sure you understand that.

never mess with your girl when she is not happy. I get beat up alot these days after I got my bmw. Especially while im driving. she knows that I love my car too much to take my hands of the wheels and protect myself. she takes advantage of that. Smart girl. emmmm..

I will have to agree with KL2DC. You cannot go wrong with black. Most women don't spend a lot of money on trendy summer purses(Unless they have way to much). She can use this all year round. I am also married and have made the mistake of buying a name brand summer purse that hardly ever gets used.

things like handbags are probably better left for them to pick themselves
unless she's specifically picked one, I wouldn't even dare to try that situation they're expensive and she might not like the one you get would you let her pick your new wheels for your E90? |

it depends on what she likes. me personally, i don't like anything black, it's depressing. i like purple, pink, orange, bright colors.
for coach, i like stuff like this: http://www.coach.com/aspx/content/pr...category_id=68 http://www.coach.com/aspx/content/pr...category_id=68 http://www.coach.com/aspx/content/pr...category_id=68 http://www.coach.com/aspx/content/pr...category_id=68

that purple(last one) one is really cute. my girl will look very cute with it.
but won't purple handbag kinda hard to match with the dress? she does dress colorful so I guess it won't be too tough to match.. but she usually buys one handbag and stay with it for the season. example, if I buy her a handbag, she'll only use that handbag for months.
