I don't understand being one of the first to get one
I'll never understand people who jump to be first like this ... pay the most and get the least amount of options to choose from. Knowing the cars get cheaper and more stuff gets released just months later and u still GOTTA HAVE IT NOW?!!?!!?!

Not everyone is willing to wait... Shouldn't we be happy to hear first impressions from those who took the plunge first? |

In my case I didn’t have a choice. I depart Germany next May and in order to take advantage of military pricing (10% off build price) I had to act now. |

I'm less concerned with options and more worried about first year problems on a new model. Is there usually a big difference in reliability between the first year 'M' and subsequent years? |

I understand the tradeoffs. I don't need to wait for more leather options as I'm likely to just get black and might get a custom exterior color. I don't think any other significant options are going to be added 4 months into its lifecycle. Now, if you wanted to wait til MY2022 or LCI then ok, but I'm ready for something new after 4 years with my current car. And I get that I'll be paying a little extra, but I have issues with impatience. I need a cheaper habit...

MONEY allow us to do things. These people who are doing it first generally can AFFORD too. I'm pretty positive the folks who go in first understand the car is a luxury item and not an investment. People in general like to be the first to play with that come some exclusivity. |

Several points to consider: I'll probably pay $150-$200 a month more than what you'll pay in 2 years on a similar lease. The better deal I'll negotiate on my 2nd G80 lease will more than make up for the additional amount I'm paying on my first G80. My other 6MT high performance option is a 911 and this is much cheaper. Everything is relative.

I'm interested in the AWD G80 so I won't be one of the first to get a G80 but definitely getting an early AWD despite knowing that the tail-light LCI will follow shortly.
