Got Android Auto update = No Android auto + broken car
I know I'm driving a US spec car in Europe.... and that causes all sorts of issues.
But.... I got all excited when my car notified me of the update. Finally, it said it was ready to download...... so I did. And.... Android Auto is nowhere to be found in my apps. Nothing. And.... it wiped my Dynotune back to stock (fortunately the company is redoing it for free) And.... it wiped all my Bimmercode coding. And.... it threw a check engine light, that when you read the code with an OBD scanner, it says "no codes found". Absolute horseshit. What a waste. I should have just denied the update.

Wiping my Dynotune? That was a surprise. Getting a CEL that won't read at all? That was a surprise. The fact that after all that, Android Auto didn't even load? That was also a surprise. BRPerformance is going to retune for free, and see what they can do about the CEL. Thank goodness my tune came with a warrantee. Yes..... car runs fine (although it feels powerless now since the tune was wiped)..... and the CEL which drives me crazy. |
