so i went to get my first oil change after a year of driving the car (21,000 km). the filter was replaced as well.

my CA noticed that the paint was coming off my rims, i thought it was a rock chip but he said it was a paint impurity that made bubbles in the paint. he said the wheel would be replaced under warranty. so i got a brand new rim.

then i told him how the tint was peeling off at the bottom of my window, CA sending the lumbar guy over to fix it. done.

while my car was in the shop i was given a toyota camry. only charge to me was refilling the gas I consumed.

no cost for all of this, so yeah I'm pretty satisfied with Elite BMW in Ottawa. They screwed me in the past but this time there was great service from them.

Hmmm, that's pretty interesting.

Just don't pinch yourself. You might wake up with old oil, chipped rims, and peeling tint.

Or even worse, you make wake up to find a camry on your driveway. lol

I need to do my first oil change in a week or two as well...I only drive 7900 km now. What other things the dealer will do for the first service? Will they update the software version on my car?

Have you owned the car for a year? 7900 km is really low and dealer may not change your oil?

yes..it's been a year already...I just don't drive a lot as I was away the country quite often this year.

YES. I forgot to mention that they upgraded the computer software in my car for free, and your oil change is free upon your 1 year anniversary or 25,000 km (whichever comes first).

I read from this forum that you need to have an issue that match the SIB in order to have a free flash of the latest software. Or everyone will automatically get a latest software flashed during the first anniversary.

I have 6FL but no y-cable. So I can't test if the ipod mode will switch to FM mode on my car. And my car delivered to here in Oct 07..and dealer said it was a Sep 07 production. So I don't know if I'm already with progman 27.x already or not. (that fixes the Ipod=>FM problem)

you should usually do your oil every 10000 km especially after the first 10000 km..and top up 1L every 5000 km and ... but the dealership recommends 25000km .. but thats only good depending on how your drive your car..
