True story. Bought my first E30 M3 in the early 2000s for $5500. It was salvaged and front seats were from a regular E30. Sold it 5 years later for $7000 feeling like a pimp.

True story. I bought my 1990 M3 in 2000 for $10K and sold it 8 months later for $22K. However, I wish I still had it.
