Question to Akra / Remus or Lightweight exhaust Owners

Hi guys,
If you have a standard OPF axle back exhaust from Akra, Remus or Lightweight (not combinded with any DPs / straight pipe, evolution pipe, etc. just OEM) please share me your experience!

Why you have choosen a specific one of the listed brands in comparsion to antoher model listed? Specific Sound? Loudness? Price? ...?
For example (fictional): I'have choosen remus because it is louder and deeper than akra

Hi there,

I do understand that one would only name the big brands here...but as far as what I have seen till now in MANY videos, and considering the fact that you're located in Switzerland, I would consider AULITZKY as a possible brand as well.

Take a look at the following video...that's with OPF and with TÜV!
Starts at 6:18....Enjoy

thanks for input.
For me it is not a question of big brands. In Switzerland only these 3 brands has an approval for switzerland (TÜV is not enough for Switzerland) ;-)
I saw many videos...but sometimes its not clear if only axle back and the sound quality is not like real...so it is not a good comparsion for me....

I have Remus race axle back. I have always like Remus sound in the past and that's basically the only reason why I chose it.

Very nicely shot video, but shows very little of how that exhaust actually sounds.

Hi Nic

I'm actually also evaluating those exhausts and I appreciate your post. Subscribed
As all of them are very expensiv, the quality is one of the main points for me.
For this reason i'm considerimg to buy the akra. Fitment and welds are absolutely perfect!
I have already heard the akra exhaust on a X3M and I really loved it. Unfortunately I have no comparison about the sound with other brands.
What I can say is that it isnt as loud as I would like to. For this reason Im also thinking to remove the OPF

I think...

Akra sounds very equal to the oem exhaust...just little bit deeper and louder? Less raspy?

Remus. Louder? Much more deeper and very sonorous?

Lightweight? Didn‘t hear or find videos...

I have Akra catback (midpipes plus muffler) and it sounds great. Huge difference to stock exhaust.

Dont forget that most Remus Videos are with the race exhaust and not with the legal one

it's probably cheaper to drive to their village near Nürnberg and do the work there, don't you think?

Thank you! I found out there exist a normal and loud version (withoud mid silencer) of aulitzky. Both with CH EG Genehmigung.
So we have a new player next to akra, lighweight and remus for switzerland...

Somebody have experiences with Aulitzky? Loudnes? Sounddesign compare to?

The problem that we have in switzerland is the fu...king swiss Gutachten.
Without this, you can forget to pass the swiss TüV

So we have always to buy the parts from an official swiss dealer.
Tuning companies here in switzerland have some kind of monopoly for those parts that need legalization papers -.-
