Do any US dealerships have an M3/M4 on display yet?
Apologies if this has been asked/answered previously but I was unable to find any information.
I took a trip to my local dealer yesterday and they told me they expect a car in late March. With all of these photos and videos I can only assume some US dealerships have the car? If anyone knows of a dealership in the Central Jersey/East PA area that has a car please let me know!

Yes, the launch cars seem to be moving around, but I haven't found any way to figure out where and when. I asked at my dealer and they were theoretically going to look in to it, but never heard anything.

So far only Canadian dealer Toronto BMW had a couple on the show room.

I drove by the closest dealer to me today and as every other day I circle the lot and eye everything on the floor there’s nothing. Seems the first I will see is when BMW release the production cars...

They're heading around different areas. I would suggest calling the dealers in your area to work out who last had them and then you can try and work out where they'll next go. There are some working their way through the Bay Area at the moment - were in Oakland a few days ago, hitting BMW SF in a day or two etc. It looks as though each place is getting it for a day or two, and it's appointment only

Cars have been in production since November. March 15th is launch. Expect vehicles to slowly start arriving to dealerships before the end of February and definitely by beginning of March. I’m sure starting tomorrow we will see some slow progress on this.
I’m in south Florida and dealer told me end of February they will be getting their first M4. |

Called a few places a week or two ago and they stated there were a few on their way to Chicago but they were already sold. I couldnt get a date to see them. I can't even get someone to tell me they have swatches. Lol
I will probably call my SA later this week to see if there are any updates but I really think it will be another couple weeks. I want to see some colors in person and maybe sit in the car once. Then I will decide.

This must be some delay to US dealers. I remember when I ordered my M4C early January, my dealer (Switzerland) already had the interior / exterior watches on display at their color wall.

they have not been released yet. I would think next week we may start seeing them pop up at dealerships (HEA) cars however they wont be able to retail them till March.

Currently working in Baltimore, MD and 3 or 4 of the local dealerships have 21' M3/M4s listed on their sites but haven't received them yet from port. One dealership I called said they were expecting them this week.

Thanks for the tip ... I had emailed BMWSF several times asking them to let me know when they had a car to look at, but predictably they didn't bother.
Drove down an hour ago to take a look. They aren't quite as bad as I was expecting (admittedly it was dark!), and the interior is fairly nice. CF paddle shifters were a nice surprise. The carbon seats, with the 'between the legs pleasure dome attachment' are actually quite comfortable and you might stop noticing the lump after a while. Grab handles on the side of the seats may come in useful for passengers, and they aren't too awkward to get into. I also liked the electric 'get in the back seat' feature when you tilt the seat forward. I would forgive a lot if the car actually drove well. For me the gearbox is still the main unknown. I've been reading up on ZF transmissions and it is actually possible to install them with a fluid clutch instead of a torque converter, in which case most shifts are 'clutch-to-clutch' (I don't believe that BMW did this). I also read that the deployment on the Giulia QV is tweaked so much that people have trouble 'creeping' the car or stopping smoothly because the torque converter locks up very quickly. There *may* be some hope if BMW-M know what they're doing. |
