Dreams can come true!
My journey with BMW first started when I got an E53 X5. At that time I also fell in love with the E46 M3 (especially in Laguna Seca Blue) but wasn't able to get into one back then. However my love for the M3 has never went away and it's been somewhat of a dream car that I've been chasing ever since.
I came very close to realizing the dream when the F80s were launching. I was finally in the financial position to get one, and even had my name first on the list at my local dealership for when allocations opened up, but then..."surprise we're pregnant!" occurred (not a total surplus as it's not like we hadn't been trying). With that news I was began getting a little hesitant with moving forward with a build and decided to hold off for a bit to see how things would pan out financially with a new little one around. Glad I did at the time as daycare, diapers, etc. isn't cheap! A couple of years went by and I was back in a position of being able to start thinking about an F80 again but right around that time it happened again..."we're pregnant!" and I knew it was all but a dream to get an F80 with two kids in daycare and so again my hopes for my first full M were dashed. Fast forward to last year and I began following all the leaks and news of the upcoming G80. At first I was not a fan of the new grille in the least bit and was a bit disappointed that BMW was headed in this direction and also began wondering about my desire to finally get an M3. As more photos leaked, more camo was dropped, I began to warm up to the looks. Now after having seen a ton of photos and videos and then finally seeing it in person last week, my love and desire for an M3 has not gone away! Thankfully I am now in a position where the M3 is obtainable and I'm excited to say that yesterday I have put down a deposit on a build and am now just waiting for an allocation to finally join the M3 family!!! The dealership is hoping to get a couple more allocations this upcoming week but if not then I should definitely start in on their next set of them. And with all that backstory here is my build: G80 Competition São Paulo Yellow 826M Black Wheels & Red Calipers Yas Marina Blue full leather Carbon fiber trim Parking Assistant Pkg Executive Pkg M Drive Professional Individual Shadowline Lights M Carbon Exterior Pkg Now begins the long and agonizing wait to get an allocation, beginning production, getting on a boat, and arriving to the dealership. Looking forward to tracking the various cars with everyone here on the G8X forums and seeing everyone's cars as they come in!

congrats!! You have a very similar build as mine. SPY is such an unique color. Wish I had opted for the CF exterior package

Initially I wasn't too sure about the CF exterior package but I think the two front intakes really differentiate the front of the M3. Then I started to think about how nice it would be to have all the different pieces done from the factory and all OEM so figured I'd go for it. I wanted to make sure that I'd have zero regrets with my build.

congrats... very similar build to me (you can see in my sig) but ofc you got the 4 door lol
diff i can see: I spent the full leather money (whopping 4k in canada..) on the carbon seats instead and didn't opt for the exterior carbon pack I still debate if I should've gone with red or black calipers instead of default blue, which may not gel well with SPY paint. But feels more wrong paying $750 to repaint the calipers with no functional upgrades Car should be delivered in matter of days now.. will post up pics to see how everything works together

I would love to option the carbon buckets as I think they look amazing but this being a daily driver with lots of in and out with various stops for the kids each day it just didn't seem like a practical option to check the box on. Looking forward to seeing your photos when it arrives!
