335D Remap Question...
If you take a standard 335D and put it on the rollers, then map it and repeat the process will that give you the new BHP figures straight away or do you have to wait for a number of miles for the car to readjust to the new map?
My remapper is claiming a rolling road before and after test is academic based on the above reasoning? - I thought only petrol cars behaved like this? Cheers, Jim |

I'm sure a few people will chip in here, but you should be able to see the improvement in bhp immediately. You can certainly feel the difference straight away, so it should be measurable. Some may argue that over a few miles the car readjusts and you get even better performance.

They shuld be immediate on most cars.
You have upped the boost and adjusted fueling, it aint like lighting a blue touch paper.

Thanks, need to get the map put back on which is no problem (blanked by an iDrive update)- but while I was at the place I wondered if they could do a rolling road now its back to stock and then again afterwards to see the delta - they told me about the 'Time to adjust' thing and said it wouldn't give accurate results so no point..
Think Imran has answered my question - its a worthwhile excersize.. Cheers, Jim |

If you've had it mapped where I think you have then their rolling road results are a waste of time.
Get it tested independantly on a Dyno Dynamics or similar before and after. You should definitely see gains, but peak figures don't always give an indication of how good a map is. Jules. |
