msport brakes?
For those of you who opted for it, was it worth it?
I just placed an order on a 45e with msport package, and now I'm debating the brakes. I think the 45e already comes with bigger brakes from what I gather, so perhaps the only real benefit from the brakes are visual? While the brakes do look awesome (which is why I'm debating this in my head over and over), it also makes me feel a bit like a poser -- a 45e is most certainly _not_ an //m car, even if it is an awesome car. Why did you buy/not buy the brakes? |

Several threads discuss this and below is the most recent one that comes to mind about the M brakes:
https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1823688 Auricom has provided a nice brake review in the past as well of the different options: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...74&postcount=3 Plenty of debate. I would choose them every day, no matter the model. You use your brakes everyday when driving, while underappreciated they are immensely important on a daily basis. Besides that they look cooler, blue or red, why wouldn't you want a better brake - more stopping power, better resistance to fade and better performance. In the grand scheme of the price of the car, its nothing and vastly more important for your safety than something visual or tactile. Its better to have it than not need it than need it but don't have it. One close call or accident and you may regret or perseverate endless on your decision. Don't get me wrong, all the other brakes stop the car adequately, but why not get the best on something so important.

more stopping power... there when you need it. the nominal increase in cost is worth the "insurance" to me.
