Interior trim, no carbon fiber

Im interested to know what interior trim you have chosen. I spend most of my time in the driver’s seat so i wanted something other than carbon fiber, but I think I'm the only one here with the individual fine wood ash grain high gloss silver trim. This may be because the M50i and the X5M non-competition are the only two X5 models that offer it. Im not sure about the X6. Post up pics of those awesome interiors and participate in this survey to see what the most popular trim is......

It first available on all MY20 X5 models and were not exclusive to M50i or M.

For MY21, Priority 1 options are unavailable for xDrive40i and only available for X5 M50i and X5M/6.

Regarding choice, not a fan of gloss wood trim and didn't see the need to spend $1K on wood trim and instead opted for 4M5 Leather dashboard on my MY20.

I'm a fan of my no charge option - 4KT anthracite brown poplar matte wood trim.

I'm not sure I followed the "time in the driver's seat" bit. How does that factor in?

Looks cool! You must like a colorful interior. There is so much going on with the colors and textures in the interior.

No matter the winner in the poll, there is no right answer given how subjective this question is!

I would never order a wood trim; I tolerate the Anthracite Brown in my car because it was the one on the lot with HK and the right exterior color.

Alum Tetra and Carbon Fiber have my heart...always.

Assuming that is the interior of your X5M. Shouldn't be in the X5M area? I don't believe the rest of the interior is available for the 50i.

Yeah, i thought about that but the X5M 50i people probably wouldn't see it

To me you went for the all out luxury look. I can't imagine a more ostentatious looking interior than this. Very rich sheik-like IMHO. So depending on your aesthetics you nailed that look perfectly. I prefer piano black or Carbon fiber and a more subdued look. But overall, your design looks really cool and the steering wheel adds to the Neiman Marcus look as well.

Thanks, i like light colored interiors. I don't like black or coffee interiors. I also don't like the white interior option either. Everyone is different but i think brighter interiors make the cabin feel more open and airy. The piano black trim is very nice but I prefer wood as i think a nice wood makes things more luxurious. This wood didn't quite hit the mark like my E70, but it was the only wood option available.

in USA we have very limited choice of a trim finish for the regular X5, no carbon, no piano black
Biggest market for BMW btw, well done...

It's always like to see different aesthetics than mine. IMHO your interior works because of the steering wheel. The default would have been black leather and it would not have turned out anywhere as close. It's a very luxurious look, more like one would find in an Aston Martin or Bentley.

Garage List
Went with the Individual Fine Wood Ash Grain High Gloss Silver (I always have to look that up.... no way I'm remembering such a long and drawn out name like that). It wouldn't have been my first choice, I actually preferred the anthracite matte wood finish (and especially since the individual trim came with a hefty $1k price). But the Mrs. really liked it so we went with it. No regrets though, it's an eye catching trim.

I went with the Anthracite Brown Poplar Matte Finish Wood (what a mouth full), I like the matte finish and I have an version to fingerprints (I’m constantly wiping down my touch screens). I originally had Carbon Fiber selected but at the last minute changed and I’m super happy I did.

I usually go with the wood trim but went aluminum this time due to the ambient lighting. In my personal preference, I just think it looks weird on wood especially the brown wood.

WTF..... That wood looks like it has a better design pattern than mine. That interior is awesome. Is that the Ivory White/Night Blue Leather?
