30e vs 30i

has anyone done an extensive test drive (or loaner) for either combination of these drivetrains? (have a 30i & got a 30e as a loaner or visa versa). I'm looking for feedback on the acceleration difference between the two. 30i is 0-60 ~6 seconds and BMWNA shows the 30e being a tad faster. Are they being conservative? Is the 30e significantly more peppy or basically the same?
not sure I need m40 power, but a bit more then the 30i for my next car. q5 hybrid is around 5 seconds which is intriguing.

I haven't tested them back to back, but have put 4K on my 30e. I wouldn't really be looking at the 30e as an acceleration comparison to an ICE only car though.

The 30e can accelerate fast (I've not fully tested it yet on lap timer) but that is in full beans Sport AND using eboost on the battery which lasts 10 seconds (assuming you have charge). ICE only acceleration is average (but still OK). My understanding is the engine is detuned in the 30e (probably to allow for the 200kg batteries).

If you were to test a 30e make sure you also try acceleration on a discharged battery as range is typically around 20 miles, which is when I assume eboost no longer has full effect.

For me the 30e was more of a decision about driving style (80% battery driving) with the added bonus of the acceleration IF I need it occasionally.

Love my 30e but beware they just discontinued it in the US for the 22 model year.
