Debating if something like this is even really needed since scrapping the bottom of a lip wouldn't be visible anyways but maybe it'll ease the pain when you hear the scraping sound pulling into a driveway.
Anyways, I was hoping to hear people's opinion on which they went with and if they would recommend. Sliplo seems like a tougher material but I am a fan of Acexxon's rear reflectors so why not continue supporting them :

Edit: Went with Sliplo.

Not a fan of Acexxon, but it is thinner than the sliplo. both work.

Do you feel as if it is necessary or just a luxury item?

The M2cs front lip is $2700+ msrp. LOL. I sliplo'd mine, its solid. I don't have any experience with the acexxon part, but my friend said he installed his and followed the direction to a T and it still came off on the road (and ind didn't care... they blamed installation error). I would go sliplo.

Sliplo is better because it has a lower friction coefficient. Acexxon is grippy like a rubber shoe sole. Not sure why the geniuses would want the protection to grip and drag the surface it hits.

I had Acexxon and it isn't very robust. I now have Slip-Lo and it's a better product.

I run sliplo and I love it. It's saved my front lip so many times already.
