Rear air vent panel

Hello guys,

I hope someone can help me. Someone broke my rear air vent wheel.

The dealer quoted me $600 to replace it.
I found the rear vent panel on eBay for $80 and wanted to replace it my self.

Does anybody know how to get to this panel to replace it.

It has 8 retaining clips around the panel. 4 on each side. Slowly pry at the seam on each side till it releases from center console, remove wire connectors and reverse procedure for installation.

Why isn't warranty covering this repair/replacement?

The dealer told me that someone kicked in and that they won't cover.

If you look at the pictures from eBay (the top view) it looks like there are 4 screws that are holding it. One at each corner.

I've had mine off a couple of times when I was fitting a wireless charging pad on the centre armrest. Its just held by clips. Start at the bottom and give a firm (but not aggressive) tug until the bottom clips pop, then work your way to the top. The electrical connectors are fiddly but once you work out where the little lug is that you have to depress on the plugs they come off quite easily.
