I and my cousin got our cars wrapped at around the same time. Long story short, left town in my car for Independence Day and parked his at my place (330i.) I went over camera footage the next day early in the morning and noticed it had started to rain (more like Mist) in the middle of the night the day we left. I immediately got someone to help us wipe down the car in the morning while the car was still wet. I was told the water beaded off while wiping which means the coat is probably working. Not sure if it was necessary to dry the car but we did it anyway.
Detailer said to not wash the car for 2 WEEKS. Haven't called the detailer yet but the fact that they recommend 2 weeks probably means they didn't use a heat lamp to bake the coating even though we both paid good money. I'll have to confirm from the detailer. In the mean time is there anything we should be worried about? Edit: detailer said they did use a heat lamp. The last cermic layer was applied first thing in the morning the day we picked it up (at midday) -- meaning the rain/mist started less than 24 hours after the last layer was applied. Detailer says to just dry off the water and if we notice anything weird after 2 weeks when we wash the car, we might have to bring it back in. |

+1. If he used a heat lamp, there isn't much to worry about. My previous car got wet in less than 24 hrs after coating (stupid me gave it for lowering spring install as soon as I finished applying the coating and they parked the car outside their garage and as it was supposed to be, it rained that night). It was fine for 2 yrs till I returned the car at lease end. No issues whatsoever.
