Anyone with M Performance front lip?

Alright so…. The lip arrived, I’ve been under the front of the car for an hour now and I’m well confused as to how I am supposed to get to the screws off on the side “black parts” next to the wheel.

They are kept in place by one screw which I cannot reach unless I take of the entire front? Without that screw I cannot take off the black parts on the side.

First ever car I’m working on but I am not bad with tools and this just seems a bit overly complicated.

Anyone willing to send some photos / videos of the process?

Studie AG takes off the whole front bumper as well as install the front lip in this video. Might be able to grab a few hints from it.

Thanks dude, also got the Manual from IND (it’s not much help but a little bit).

Update: got the black side pieces off.

If you have the means to take off the front; DO IT!
In my case I was able to get to each screw by CAREFULLY manipulating the body a bit and sticking my rattle wrench in there.

I’m usually not a fan of lip/chin spoilers, but the G8x M perf lips look really nice!
Very subtle and it completes the look.

I have one on skyscraper grey along with carbon exterior. Right now im waiting for mperformance air breather fenders.

The fitting of lip is actually quite dissapoiting, we will try to refit it next week when they will install the side fenders, but oterhwise the lip is really nice, very subtle, specially compared to aftermarket ones that are coming out. Wouldnt change it..

The front bumper flicks? Those were super easy actually

How did you install them?

They come with a clear vinyl decal that you place on the bumper. There are printed circles letting you know where to drill the two holes for each flick. Once holes are drilled, I test fitted clipping in the flick (it has two little clips sticking out of the back side which allow it to "snap" into the holes you drilled). Once confirmed, I then removed the clear vinyl template from bumper, and applied 3M tape to the backside of the flick, between the two clips. Peel the 3M and clip into place.

There are new screws/rivets/bolts involved, and no removal of the bumper necessary.

I wish BMW wouldnt have made the bottom parts gloss black. When you put this lip on, it covers the front bumpers black portion completely. So now you only have black side skirts and black around the diffuser. It looks odd without the full wrap around black bottom edging.

BMW should have let some of the black show on the front lip. Or color match all the bottom trim so the black doesnt stand out on the sides.
