The article was somewhat vague in regards to what BMW actually did or is getting fined for specifically. Because it seems the majority of the allegations were not substantiated against them.

There's not any evidence cited in the article, but you can be punished as part of a cartel simply by being at a meeting where the collusion is discussed. I rep my company at industry round tables and I've been told by our antitrust lawyer that if any talk of price or employee wage fixing ever comes up, not only do i need to leave the room, but have my departure noted for the record. |
