Creating BMW Journeys with Tyre
I know how deficient the BMW SatNav is, and I know that some of our members have late model Bimmers with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, and often still use Waze to get notification of speed cameras and more. Yes, you can create a journey using the BMW SatNav ... but there is an easier way if you are slightly computer literate.
TYRE can save the journey you create in various formats, e.g. Garmin, Tom Tom and BMW. However, the software used to create the journey only runs on Windows. I am using TYRE v8.32, on Windows 10 64-bit, and recommend the direct method set out in the Part 2 article. I've provided the link to a couple of How-to Articles (Zipped) I wrote for a local BMW car club magazine that illustrate how to use Tyre to create the journey, save it to a USB memory stick, then painlessly upload the resulting journeys into your car's SatNav. https://www.dropbox.com/s/n6wafhswg5...rneys.zip?dl=0
