M40i - Buy before try?
For those of you who have already placed orders for M40i's, are you just assuming you're going like the revised battery enhanced powertrain?
I'm just not sure I can pull the trigger before a test drive... |

I can't speak on the new series, but I can speak to Buy before try. I just picked up a '19 M40i completely sight unseen or test driven with just pictures and information online. I was looking for a specific set of packages and features on a low mileage unit and found one a state away in northern Cali. I went through the full blow process of purchasing, including paperwork signing (back and forth with fedex) and only got to see it in person when I went to pick it up from the dealer.
Granted I had driven some M40i's at local dealers so I knew what it would be like. But it was completely done online without test driving it or seeing it in person until everything was said and done. |

Just drive an X5, they already have the mild hybrid setup. I thought it worked great. We almost waited for the 2022 just to get it, but were worried what other options would be dropped, so we went with the 2021.
