iPhone Digital Key Question

Greetings everyone,
Does anyone happen to know if you can provide a digital key to whomever you like? Specifically, I'll be using a physical and digital key with the second physical key going to my wife. I'm thinking about a digital key to my brother as a backup?

Is this possible?

I haven't actually tried it, but it's "supposed" to be possible. After you set up the digital key it is added to your wallet (if using an iPhone). Then you can unlock, lock, drive (if you put it in the charging tray).

To share, you invite someone from the iPhone wallet after you click on the "…" above your BMW card. See below:

I received a normal key, display key, nfc key card and also the digital key. I've never had a far with so many keys!

Hate to say it but as far as I know 2022 will not have these features as they are losing the wireless charging tray...

Digital key isn't linked to wireless charging - it's related to NFC. This was covered in another thread.
