Can we trust AliExpress CF part quality?
So I found this M Performance front spoiler knockoff for like $480 + $240 shipping, not sure about the quality and if matching the OEM CF... any thought?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...3374581be7f5-4 I do like the R44 one, not sure if anyone bought one and have it installed? https://r44performance.co.uk/collect...er-for-g80-g82 Last edited by Mperor; 08-03-2021 at 08:22 AM.. |

I'd be willing to bet there will be many vendors selling the Ali express version for 800+ in a few months... If it wasn't an Oct ship date I would be willing to buy one.

I've had very good experiences overall with CF components from EBay that are basically all made in different parts of Asia (just like most from aliexpress).
I dressed up my M2C with CF front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler and all was good quality and finish. Some might have been 98% good fit but totally worth it to save hundreds of $$$. I will most likely do the same for my G82 once more CF parts become available "Most" of these well known companies will still have their CF pieces manufactured in Asia and then turn around and charge double or triple. It's ridiculous!

Lol this materialized faster than I thought it would, but here is an example of what I alluded to earlier. I'd be willing to bet these are the Ali express lips.

Never understood why people pay ridiculous oem or even vendor prices for cf parts that will inevitably be damaged. I took a gamble once on eBay cf splitters for my E90 and man it was best ~$150 I ever spent. Looked oem and eventually did crack to hell after a friend drove them into a big dip. Point being the “eBay” parts are not all crappy. Some of these Chinese sellers are probably more reliable than half the vendors selling cf parts.
