Bimecc vs Future Classic Spacers

I'm trying to decide between the Bimecc spacers from R44 and the Future Classic spacers from IND. One benefit of the Bimecc is that they come with locking lugs.

I've seen many comments on the FC spacers but does anyone have any experience with the Bimecc ones?

Never heard of them. I've used Macht Schnell and Future Classic. Both very good.

I got the Bimmec ones from R44.

Delivery was ridiculously quick. Quality was good and the locking nut was a nice bonus in the correct length

They even included some
Candy in the box which was nice of them, Recommended!

BMS work great and are reasonably priced.

I just ordered the Bimecc spacer set. Can't beat the price and they get solid reviews.

I ordered my ducktail spoiler from them and was amazed at the shipping speed.

I just ordered the 12mm/15mm Future Classic set from Sales@AUTOcouture. They had both sizes in stock.

The only way Im getting spacers is if they come with extended lugs. I know the BMS come with new lugs, Im not sure about the rest of them.

Yep, they do come with longer lugs and even longer locking nuts from R44.

It's essential to have the longer bolts, I would have assumed they are included with all of these kits

Price is great; shipping from England was faster than most US-based companies; and the supplied locks are a tremendous plus as it is nearly impossible to find locks for extended length lug nuts.

5 stars.

I went with the the same size spacers (12.mm, which come in a box labeled 12.5mm) at all four corners to keep the factory track widths proportional. While 15mm spacers at front may look better, I'm sure they detract from vehicle dynamics. BMW put a lot of R&D into the relative track widths, and I chose not to mess w/ that. YRMV.

Macht Schnell kits all come with proper sized lugs also, we use them exclusively for all our installs.

I talked to a SA at my local dealer and they'll install the spacers for half-hour labor. Another SA at the same dealer left me a voicemail stating that they'd do it but didn't recommend it. Unfortunately, I can't get that guy to call me back so I don't know his rationale for not recommending them. They both said that the spacers wouldn't impact the warranty.

I know this has been kind of beaten to death, but the disparate information is exhausting. I've never had spacers on a car so this is giving me hesitance.

For what it's worth, I posted a thread about this…went to 4 local shops, two relatively small ones and two chains; all said no. Called my local BMW, no problem let's get you scheduled, we'd love to do it and it won't impact your warranty. :

Yeah, I read your thread. I don't get it. I called a local tire shop that I frequent and they'd do it as well. I guess we never really know although history appears to show that using a "reasonable" size is ok.

Did you end up getting yours on? I forget.

Not yet, coming up soon. Spacers go on the 27th, then PPF (track package) and Ceramic Coat from my local retailer on the 29h. Also getting my 1200 mile service at the same time as the spacer install….as soon as get the call to pick up my car from my detailer, I'll share an update with pics of the car with the spacers and the PPF/Ceramic Coat…this time I took pics of before with no spacers, so everyone will have a before/after.

I just ordered a set of add'l 12mm Bimecc spacers for the front of my car (I'm having rubbing with the P-Zeros and the 15mm spacers).

I ended up misplacing the key for the locking lugnut on my original set, so I contacted R44. They were extremely helpful and got back to me immediately. They had a new key in the mail to me the next day.

Needless to say I was very impressed with the level of service I got. I'll be doing business again with R44 and highly recommend them and their products.

Just for reference, don't use 10mm Bimecc spacers on the G80 OEM wheels. Please read carefully:

Update - this is an old thread. I just installed the 12mm from R44. Here w/in a week. I had ordered another set and was told "not in stock" after the order. I really wanted 10-12mm and the 12's are actually spec'd at 12.5. Quality seems fine/I think*** they are made in Italy.

Once on, the look improvement is better in person. Someone else had posted a vibration w/ thicker spacers (?? 13-15, cannot remember). These were fine to 120mph last night. No vibration. Came w/ lugs, 4 locking lugs.

Pretty happy w/ them.
