Recommended service items (B58 vehicles): at 30K, 60K, 90K, 120K miles+

I thought it would be valuable to consolidate recommended service items for those of us who have B58-equipped vehicles and prefer to keep them beyond the lease duration.

Please post your experiences. Starting with mine.

- 35K miles; replaces all four rotors, brake pads, and front and rear brake pad wear sensors. Zimmermann 2-piece rotors, OEM M Sport brake pads.

Engine oil filter 6500km
Spark plug 36000km
Coolant flush 40000km
Cabin air filter 50000km
Ignition coil 55000km
Air filter 20000km
Trans serv. kit 65000km
Transfer case oil 65000km
Front diff oil 65000km
Rear diff oil 65000km
Vanos actuator 100000km
Vanos valve 100000km

Above is my personal note for my stage 2.5 340i service interval. I do all the oil change myself. Just my 2 cents, hope that helps.

There is a typo, engine oil change interval is 6500km, same as oil filter.

I'm nearing 35-36k mi on my 340i MSport and my brakes are still in good shape.

Squeal a bit coming to a stop, but that's normal for the blue brakes when you haven't driven hard.

I'm really good about coasting as much as possible to a stop.

Curious, were your brake rotors actually worn out at 35k miles (1.6mm wear limit) or you just wanted to replace them? The stock BMW rotors typically wear really well up to maybe 60k-70k miles

Driving style is going to contribute a tonne to that. To take a couple extreme examples, on the track, pads and rotors are usually only good for about 4 track days whereas someone with a daily commute of 100 miles, with majority highway, could easily not have to change rotors for over 100k miles

What the heck kind of track days are you talking about? Replacing rotors after only four track days?

Oops, you're right. I was thinking pads when I wrote that. Double the number, so somewhere in the realm of 8-10 track days I'd expect
