I updated my I-step via E-sys and now cant flash BM3 due to locked dme?
Hi,i recently updated all my cars ecu to a late 2020 i-step but left the DME alone due to having BM3 and reading about anything from 2019 and up locking the DME(it had a istep from 2016)
Everything was working better then ever all week so i decided to flash back to stock from bm3 and update the dme to a mid 2018 istep and downloaded PSdZData v.4.14.14 that has both istep F020-18-07 and F020-18-11 and flashed F020-18-11 thinking it would be safe(it wasn't ) Is it possible in E-sys to force flash an older version like F020-18-07 and unlock the dme again to flash bm3 or is bench unlocking the only option? other then this and a minor issue i have with my intermittent fan on and off(the main reason i was updating all this) the car runs fine even with FBO and ngk plugs thank you Last edited by play2own; 08-23-2021 at 11:36 PM.. |

just to update if anyone has this issue i just deleted and reinstated bm3 obd agent again and was able to flash it again successfully
even tho istep F020-18-11-xxx has the DME bootloader ending in .002 i was still able to get i to flash after updating my bm3 obd agent to latest version |
Appreciate
