I fully approve, it's a better modern s14. Great power, super revvy, lightweight. What's to hate?

What's not to like, a lighter, bulletproof, more reliable engine that maintains the cars chassis dynamics. Sounds like a win-win to me.

I wanted something similar on my e82 128i for the longest time…

Swap the nose heavy straight 6 with a turbo 4 or suped up, more economical NA 4 at the least

Yeah, this is a big no-no! Why would you do something like that?!

It's not like the S2000 engine is the greatest high-revving 4-cyl of all time or anything. Oh, wait… it is!!

Look how far back that engine is sitting, with the reduced weight this thing should handle much better. Hell, that's a mid-engine set up.

Reminds me of this time, a track event at Road America, we were in a class session.
A guy raised his hand, was called upon by the teacher and asked, "why when I get to the apex and hit the throttle, the car doesn't accelerate? I keep losing ground." The instructor asked, "What kind of car do you have?" "An S2000." "Well, that's your problem, you don't have any torque." Not saying the S14 has abundance torque, just remembered that story and had a laugh.

The only reason you should put a F22 into an e30 is if you don't have the S14 motor. An e30 M3 or S2000 is worth way more in original condition that in a frankenstien config.

Legit! If it were my build I'd probably go with a K24 but to each his own.

I remember that I saw a swap of a F20 in a E30 in you tube 15 years ago...

it was a red E30, the car was super fast in autocross

They do now, lol. Electric motors and turbos are just torque.

I 100% approve of this message. Hahahah

Man I miss my e30 m3. It was an ownership roller coaster of 13 years. Street car to track car, then new motor (2.5 with lots of evo parts), then back to street car, then restored interior, and finally hardly driven so I stupidly sold. Oh well.

i do agree that the s2k engine lacks torque, but our plan is to turbo charge it not to keep it N/A.

and ya if it was an e30 m3 i wouldn't even think about modifying it and certainly not swaping the s14 to any other engine. but this is normal e30
