New x3 owner

Hi all, just put deposit on a x3 2.0d msport. 2019.
Not new to bmw but first x3. Any thing I should be looking at before signing.
Any common issues.

I would be looking to have a good time enjoying the car. Congratulations. Take a drive up to York for the weekend. I love York.

My advice is triple check everything you're told and ensure everything is in writing. Very poor experience of this BMW dealership, and would not buy from them again.

Hope everything works out ok.

Bought my x3 new from Williams (Rochdale) in 2019 and can not fault them really. Had a couple of issues with trim, fading side vents and rear wheel arch trim which had come loose. All replaced no quibble. Service always prompt/efficient.

Check it's been serviced - recent oil and filter change. Last thing you want is an oil service - average every two-years on condition based servicing. Brake fluid change in 2022 - every 3 years. Well it is on my car. (the servicing details are in the car's menu under vehicle status/servicing requirements.

Plus as it comes to the end of the manufacturers warranty next year, book it in for an end of warranty check, and an MoT test 2-3 weeks before the 3 year anniversary. Usually ensures any warranty items are sorted and you get a clean MoT. Seriously consider the BMW warranty extension too at the end of 3 years - the full package, not named component. You can pay zero, £250 or £500 excess. It's far more comprehensive than most aftermarket warranties which leave the insurer with too much wiggle room to say no.

My only niggle is BMW servicing costs can be a shock on the pocket, mine's just had a service, the big one, with air and fuel filter too, plus oil and microfilter - £480, thanks and goodbye.

Download the BMW app, as it's useful to check if you've locked the car when lying in bed, wondering. The app could be better, but has some use.

Enjoy the car.

Thanks media man.
Yeah still haggling with them. My next questions are the service issues.
Do you know how much full extended warranty is please.
