Aftermarket M3 Ducktail spoiler?
Apologies if this was discussed already - search function is wonky nor did I find anything.
Anyways, wondering if anyone had recommendations, thoughts, feelings, past experiences on an aftermarket ducktail spoiler for their M3? I found a few online, but seems like R44 makes some of the higher quality ones here: https://r44performance.co.uk/collect...g-carbon-fibre Has anyone installed it? How do you like it? How's the installation? etc etc Thank you.

Put mine on from R44 yesterday and absolutely love it. Quality is exceptional and it was a breeze to install. Package comes with adhesive promoter and super easy to do if you follow the instructions. Clean the area first, wipe with isopropyl alcohol to remove any small dirt or debris, let dry snd apply the spoiler. I prefer using blue painters tape on the corners and center of the spoiler after it’s test fitted. This allows you to simply peel off the red adhesive backing and roll the spoiler precisely into place. Works like a charm and heres some pics.

How was the removal of the OEM one? Were you able to sell it or are you holding onto it?

Removal of the oem spoiler was pretty easy. Heated up using a heat gun and used a plastic pry tool with a towel to remove the spoiler. You then have to get all of the old adhesive off with either a grime remover or a power tool. I used a Dremel with a soft polishing tip to quickly wipe away the left over adhesive. Piece of cake….
Spoiler came originally in about a week. Unfortunately I was shipped the wrong spoiler by mistake and had to contact R44 for the right one. Their customer service is spot on and I was super impressed. They got me the correct spoiler as soon as it was in stock and shipped in the same box as the front lip that I ordered around the same time. Highly recommend. FYI spoiler and front lip combo is amazing. |

@BMWEM3 just out of curiosity, have you ever replaced a spoiler on a previous car? Just wondering the longevity of these types of mods and how they hold up. I love the look of this spoiler but have had an internal debate on whether I want to change much from the OEM parts on my new $90k car

Got mine from R44 and had it installed yesterday. It's epic! You won't be disappointed.
