No unfortunately they decided not to release the car in NA…not sure why!

Or they don't want to have to change the charge infra on the car, as America doesn't use type2+CCS and re certify it.

In China they have the iX3 with two separate charge ports front for AC and back for DC. So they can make it apparently with different port specs.

Here for the iX, both charge ports will be in the same location (where the normal gas flap is). They show it @ 5 Minute in the video:

Well there ya go, however China are also 240v / 50hz, whereas most of the USA AC is 110v, 60hz. So maybe something to do with it. But I think they only want to sell the iX is NA better profit margin, and they won't upset the USA by bringing in a car that the rest of the models X3 are built.
