Issue with shifting

Hello,

I have a 2007 335i with a shifting issue. Any gear I try to shift into feels crunchy. This is the case with the car off and on although it feels slightly worse when the car is on. I know what notchy feels like and this is not notchy. Also sometimes when I shift into first gear as I'm pushing it into gear the car will move forward an inch before moving back. It feels like my clutch wear has increased as well.

Mods for the drivetrain:
Spec Stage 2+ clutch with steel flywheel
New 034 Motorsports engine mounts
BMW Steel clutch pivot pin
Revshift 80A transmission mounts
BMS short throw shifter

Anyone have any thoughts on what this issue could be? I tried searching across multiple forums and couldn't find anything specific to my case. Any help is appreciated.

Has the clutch been bled properly?

If your clutch pedal is fully depressed, nothing you do should make the car move forward. It sounds like your clutch is staying partially engaged.

100% this. Sounds like an improperly installed clutch or something clutch related. I doubt the shifter or trans has an issue.

Garage List
034 engine mounts were trash from the get go. I'd look to see if they failed.
