Swap for 21" wheels? Need 19" on '22 X5
Is there anyone here from Bay Area, CA that knows a place I would be able to sell or swap my brand new 21 inch X5 rims+tires?
Just took delivery of a 2022 X5 and was "forced" into the M sport package. Car is for my wife and she prefers the 19 inch wheels for a smoother ride and less wear & rear or damage potential. Does anyone know a local shop in the Pleasanton, San Ramon, Dublin area that would purchase or swap the wheels with back credit? Dealer refused to do it since they would get in trouble by BMW. Thank you |

What do you mean you were forced into taking a Msport? I think you should find someone fairly quickly looking to do that trade. Try Facebook marketplace too

19's will clear the bigger M sport caliper but I don't think they look really good since the car has the M sport body kit with extended flares just makes the wheels look like they are sitting very far inwards. I think stock 740m are the way to go if you want to get a non staggered M sport wheel that will still look good.

personally, I'd recommend 20" minimum which removes that uncertainty factor and opens up more options. IMO it's a good compromise between looks and ride comfort. (I downsized from 21" 741M) Walrusmode |

Yo! I'll be happy to buy your 21s outright, so that it reduces your total out of pocket cost. I'm in the bay area. At present, I'm leaning on keeping my 20s for winter, otherwise I would have swapped with you.
FYI, based on some members reporting, the 19s may fit the M Sport calipers but outside of "tolerance". It's best that you use 20 inch wheels. https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1661933

Thanks everyone, super helpful!!! I think I will try to do just do some sort of a swap for 20". It'll be a good balance of looks vs. ride comfort vs. all season tires that last longer. I agree, 19" will make it look like a toy car.
Will respond to folks that have posted/messaged individually. |

hello and welcome to the forum!
my wheels are by Rohana. FYI: when replying, no need to tap both +" and " symbols. doing so causes duplicate quoting in your posts. tapping the pencil icon on the top right corner is a quick reply when not quoting anyone. |
